March 2012 Update

War Hero Les Glover visited the boys program and his message was to fight for the life that you want.

December 2011 Update

The MOB program has now finished for the year with the last group finishing up at the end of November. It was our most successful yet, with the boys coming a long way in 8 weeks. Attendance at school improved and several of the boys were enrolling in courses and looking for employment. In the last week we took the boys up to Fortitude Boxing gym where they were taken through their paces by the fighter, Jarrod Fletcher. The boys really gave it their all. We are now looking forward to 2012. continuing work with Palm Beach and Southport Scisco. The program is constantly evolving and it will be back in the new year kicking off on the 8th February.

M.O.B has a facebook page under the name MOB Scisco.  All of your support for the boys is much appreciated.

August Update

The third group of boys final survivor day was held this week (end of August) with great success. The boys also enjoyed a recent talk with Jarrod Fletcher, Pro Boxer (picture 1).

We are happy to announce the fourth boys group will be starting in a few weeks time.

In the first 3 programs, we have placed 4 boys in work experience, 3 back into school and two have secured jobs. Along with text messages from the boys telling us how their life has improved for the better since taking part in the program.

Our goal now in the next few months is to become Government Accredited so that we can roll out more programs and help more boys on the Gold Coast.

Some great photos from the first program.

The second program for the men of business has been another great challenge with the reward being young boys understanding that they are responsible for their own future. No matter what your past from this point in time you can make a difference in your future just by following some core fundamentals in life. The mentors once again were inspirational in the journey and program. On July 29 we are catching up for our M.O.B lunch we are looking for men ofbusiness to join and share their experiences so we can all grow all money goes towards running programs on the gold coast for boys at risk. Please call if you are interested in joining a group of men who make a difference.

Click here for more information about the next event on 29th July, 2011.
